Scenes From My Weekend

I realize that these posts have been going live a day late but I have just needed a day to let everything sink in before attempting to put it all in words.

I also have a fear that doing weekend recaps will turn this blog into a dear diary-esque situation (kidding!)

This weekend we hightailed it out of work early on Friday and headed right to Cape Ann where M’s family was awaiting us (and his mother!) I was so nervous…

He was a little incredulous that I had went on a little shopping trip especially for the weekend but all weekend his mother complimented my trendy yet conservative shifts and sundresses. 

He smiled, looking at me when he got it.

I was immediately engulfed into a large card game and given a glass of wine by his cousins while he went off to pick up a huge seafood feast from The Clam Box. His cousins were hilarious and incredibly welcoming. I expected nothing less as he is…easily the most amazing man I have ever met.

Saturday we slept in and went to our favorite coffee & strudel shop for breakfast where we ate on the deck overlooking the water and M “snuck” pieces of my scone to feed the little birds . 

A barbeque, cigar session for the men and lots of good conversations later, he took me for a ride on a motorcycle through a nearby yacht club. It couldn’t have been more fun. 

Sunday we brunched at Sugar Magnolias where I had my usual irish eggs benedict (I get it everywhere) but here it was made atop a sweet corn bread and my bloody mary was made with sake (innnnneresting…)

He took outfit photos galore (sorry I did not like any of the others because of the weird faces I was making.) 

Another dreamlike weekend is over and tonight I have to say goodbye to one of my first Boston blogger friends before she embarks on a new chapter of her life on the west coast.

Then I get to meet a gorgeous fashion blogger from Chicago and spend some time with adorable little Amy from Cupcakes & Couture. In between, M and I have cute little dates planned.
